Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead and optimize logistics operations across multiple locations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring consistent service delivery, and aligning regional performance with company-wide strategic goals.

The ideal candidate brings 20–25+ years of progressive logistics experience, including deep expertise in multi-site leadership, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations. This individual will serve as a key partner to the VP of Operations, providing leadership, insight, and execution across a complex, fast-paced environment.

Salary range: 150K-175K Depending on experience 

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Operations Leadership
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple logistics sites, ensuring consistency in processes, performance, and service delivery 
  • Lead and develop site managers and operations teams to achieve performance, safety, and financial goals 
  • Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures across all locations 
Strategic Execution
  • Partner with the VP of Operations to execute regional and company-wide strategies 
  • Translate business objectives into actionable operational plans across sites 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost control 
Multi-Site Performance Management
  • Monitor KPIs across all locations (OTIF, cost per shipment, labor efficiency, safety metrics, etc.) 
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions 
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews 
Financial & Budget Oversight
  • Manage regional P&L, budgets, and cost controls 
  • Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements 
  • Ensure alignment with financial targets and forecasting 
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, etc.) 
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all sites 
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action plans 
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners 
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service performance 
  • Act as escalation point for critical operational or service issues 
Team Development & Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing operations teams 
  • Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines across the region 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 20–25+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution operations 
  • Proven multi-site leadership experience overseeing multiple facilities/regions 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Strong background in operations management, process improvement, and team leadership 
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L and operational budgets 
  • Deep understanding of logistics KPIs, supply chain processes, and performance metrics 
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments 

Preferred:
  • Experience with ERP/WMS/TMS systems 
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications 
  • Experience in 3PL, manufacturing, or distribution environments 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a huge plus 
  • Experience with Union workers or a Union Shop is a plus
