Job Description
Our client, a manufacturer of noise control solutions, located in North Aurora, IL is adding an experienced Quality Inspector to their team.
If you want to work in a clean, friendly environment close to home and have 2+ years of quality inspection experience, here's a great opportunity.
The qualified candidate will have strong analytical skills and uphold the safety regulations of the company, following processes to guarantee all products meet quality expectations.
The quality inspector will perform product evaluations, record inspection results and recommend improvements to the process. They must have excellent attention to detail with good technical and math skills.
6am to 2:30pm M-F with some overtime
$19 to $23/hr.

Quality Inspector Job Description
- Work independently to accomplish visual and dimensional inspections.
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Be able to determine acceptance, rejection of materials presented for inspection.
- Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements for products and services.
- Measure product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Document inspections outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Assist Quality team members or management with failures and nonconforming materials date recording and reporting.

Job Requirements
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certification in quality control is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good math and technical skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to write and/or complete general work reports.
- Demonstrates excellent blueprint reading skills.
- Thorough understanding of the use and application of cosmetic, workmanship, packaging standards as would be used in the metal fabrication industry.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use precision hand measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures protractors.
Specific vision abilities are required to perform their duties and responsibilities successfully; examples include close vision, distance vision, computer/tablet screens, color distinction.
