Our client, a growing and innovative manufacturer, designer, and distributor of support systems and accessories for electronic equipment is seeking an experienced Paint Line Supervisor to oversee daily operations within their powder coating department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, developing employees, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powder coating or industrial finishing, proven manufacturing leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Paint Line Supervisor (Direct Hire)
Location: Aurora, IL Salary range: 65K-75K Shift: 1st Shift 5:00am-1:30pm
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily powder coating and paint line operations, including hanging, coating, curing, and workflow coordination.
Plan and prioritize production schedules to maximize throughput while minimizing color changes and downtime.
Monitor production flow to ensure customer orders are completed on time and eliminate paint line bottlenecks.
Ensure coating quality meets company standards by monitoring appearance, adhesion, coverage, and overall process consistency.
Conduct routine process audits to verify standard operating procedures are being followed.
Coordinate daily activities with Production, Engineering, Materials, and other departments to meet production goals.
Train, coach, and develop paint line employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Manage inventory levels for powder, chemicals, and paint line consumables.
Monitor paint system performance, including spray booths, washers, filters, ovens, and related equipment.
Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment by enforcing all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3-5 years of powder coating or industrial finishing experience.
Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and process optimization.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to make effective real-time production decisions.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Experience with both powder coating and wet paint processes.
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
