Job Description

Our client, a family-owned, stable and growing manufacturer of motor cooling solutions is seeking a motivated and innovative Product Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, developing new products, and working closely with customers, sales, and manufacturing to bring innovative solutions to life.

As a Product Engineer, you will play a key role in product development, engineering analysis, and manufacturing support. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing products, develop new solutions, and provide technical expertise that drives customer satisfaction and business growth.

Competitive salary of $80,000-$90,000/yr. based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical drawings, 3D models, engineering calculations, and performance data to support the sales team.
  • Prepare technical quotations, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations, product performance analyses, and technical evaluations.
  • Support new product development from concept through production.
  • Utilize CAD software and engineering analysis tools including 3D modeling, FEA, CFD, and CAM.
  • Assist customers with product testing, validation, troubleshooting, and technical support.
  • Serve as the primary engineering resource for customer inquiries and technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and other departments to ensure successful product implementation.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive technical support and effective communication.
  • Lead and participate in engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support additional engineering projects and responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial equipment design.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools including FEA and CFD.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work onsite (this is not a remote position).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with industrial equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, automation systems, or other heavy manufacturing products.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, and quality management systems.
  • Understanding of ASME, ISO, ASTM, or other applicable engineering standards.
