We are currently seeking Electrical Assemblers for a company specializing in the assembly of low- and medium-voltage electrical switchgear cabinets. This role supports the manufacturing of high-quality products to meet customer specifications and production schedules.
1st Shift Hours (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) | Temp to Hire | St. Charles
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret and work from assembly and elevation drawings
Construct and assemble modular steel cabinets
Accurately read and use a tape measure
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks according to specifications
Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed throughout the assembly process
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of electrical components and switchgear assemblies
Understanding of electrical safety practices and shop safety standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
Familiarity with hardware installation, fastening methods, and torque requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
Proficiency with hand and power tools
