CNC Lathe Set Up Operator
Schaumburg, IL
  • Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm (M-F) 
    Pay: $22.00-$30.00 / hour

Well established company is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Setup/Operator. Most of the machines are Mazak running Mazatrol programs. This role is focused on setting up and operating repeat jobs using existing programs - no programming required.

Responsibilities
  • Set up Mazak CNC lathes and mill/turns using existing Mazatrol programs.
  • Load tooling, set offsets, and verify setups before running jobs.
  • Once approved for production, produce all parts to print and quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC lathe setup experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Mazak controls and Mazatrol programs.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work to standard tolerances.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Extra Credit (not required)
  • Knowledge of G-code
  • Experience with manual lathes
  • Prior use of ProShop ERP software
