Operate manual or CNC lathe machines set up by others
Perform machining operations: turning, boring, facing, drilling, and chamfering
Work from blueprints, job orders, process sheets, and verbal instructions
Load parts and verify dimensions using gauges and precision instruments
Deburr, drill, and tap components according to specifications
Resharpen tools under guidance
Report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or unusual conditions
Maintain accurate department records
Keep work area and equipment clean and organized
Move materials and chips using hand tools; may operate a power truck

Basic knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Basic math skills (measurements, tolerances, conversions)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
