Job Title: CMM Metrologist
Location: Franklin Park, IL
 Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Hours: 3:30pm to 11:30pm with OT and Saturdays as needed. (Must train on 1st shift for a few weeks)
 Industry: Manufacturing

Position Overview:
 We are currently seeking a skilled CMM Metrologist to join our client's growing manufacturing team in Franklin Park, IL. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in CMM programming, a solid understanding of PC-DMIS software, and a background in GD&T. The successful candidate will play a critical role in quality inspection and precision measurement of manufactured components using advanced metrology tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and run CMM programs using PC-DMIS software
  • Perform dimensional inspections of components to ensure conformance to customer and engineering specifications
  • Interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols to inspect parts accurately
  • Utilize manual and automated inspection tools including gages, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
  • Document and report inspection results using Excel and internal systems
  • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to troubleshoot and resolve measurement or tolerance issues
  • Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability and compliance with internal and external quality standards
  • Recommend and assist in developing improvements in inspection processes

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of CMM programming experience
  • Completion of Hexagon 101 and 201 training 
  • Strong knowledge of PC-DMIS software
  • Minitab experience a plus
  • Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment (gages, comparators, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and documentation of inspection results
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
