Our client, a privately-owned electro-mechanical assembler, is adding an experienced 1st Shift Production Manager to join their growing team!

The qualified candidate will have a confident demeanor with the ability to motivate employees and increase productivity.

Previous experience in mechanical assembly or electronic device manufacturing is required.

Ability to communicate with employees in English and Spanish is required.

Essential Functions:

Oversee all aspects of the production area (subassemblies, cabinet, final test, & packing)
Responsible for meeting daily production goals.
Supervises and motivates Supervisors, Group Leaders and Assemblers.
Communicate with Production and Development teams to ensure smooth transition from development to production.
Identify and communicate opportunities to increase efficiency and product improvement.
Identifies training needs of staff.
Enforces company policies, including disciplinary action when needed.
Ensures that health and safety guidelines are followed.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent: additional training or certifications in manufacturing is a plus.
5-7+ years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment-(mechanical or electronic devices) (DEAL BREAKER)
Bilingual English/Spanish required. (DEAL BREAKER)
Experience with managing teams of 70+ employees (DEAL BREAKER)
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Flow) a plus.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
Team Player.
Ability to establish, motivate, and drive team goals aligned with organizational objectives.
Consistent focus on safety and adherence to protocols.
