Are you a Tig Welder in need of a job?

We have an immediate Tig Welding position in the Elburn area.

1st Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay range is $20.00-$28.00 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Job Description:

Welders Perform MIG, TIG, Spot welding, and participate in metal fabrication.
Read drawings (blueprints) and perform project layout and template creation.
Perform grinding as required for finishing parts.
Shows drive and brings innovation/processes improvement that achieves the company's short- and long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

Participate as team member to help with welding preparation and finishing as required, including but not limited to grinding, sanding, polishing, and detailing using hand and power tools to a high standard
Welding helmet provided by employee; batteries provided by company
One set of welding gloves provided by company per year
Provide excellent communication to ensure a high level of efficiency
Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications
Perform all fabrication tasks in the agreed upon time frames or better
Update color coding of working timeliness with appropriate green, yellow, and red stickers
Perform and/or notify Operations Manager of any required maintenance for machinery
Maintain appropriate job materials and notify Operations Manager in timely manner when more materials need to be ordered

Use PPE for appropriate safety and protection
Must maintain appropriate protection equipment
Participate in process improvement
Provide input into design improvements and new designs
Report drawing errors
Work with management to set operations goals and standards for continuous improvement
Participate in other metal fabrication duties as required/requested by Operations Manager
Maintain a well-kept and tidy work area including floor, flat services, machinery, and tooling
Must be ready to work, in appropriate attire and with the required PPE, prior to clocking in
Must not be idle, completed for the day, ready for clocking out prior than 1 minutes before expected end of shift o If additional time is allotted due to task time requirements, see functions required above
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
