Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer of high-quality industrial heaters, temperature sensors, and temperature controls, is seeking an experienced CNC Lead to join their team on 2nd Shift.

Pay range: $25-$35/hr. (depending on experience) (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)


As the CNC Lead, you will provide daily leadership to CNC machining operations by overseeing operators, coordinating workflow, ensuring part quality, and maintaining safe and efficient machining practices. You will drive production performance through effective communication, equipment oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support CNC operators, ensuring safe machining practices and adherence to all safety policies.
  • Coordinate daily workflow, machine assignments, and production priorities to meet schedule requirements.
  • Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Oversee inspection of machined parts and enforce quality procedures to prevent defects.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and coordinate major repairs with maintenance teams.
  • Train and mentor CNC operators in machine operation, setups, and safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and equipment records.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • May be assigned additional tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience with proven leadership capability.
  • Knowledge of G-code, cutting tools, and holders.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience training or supervising CNC operators.
  • Experience implementing production or process improvements.
