The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing systems and processes for all plants to ensure the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of products. This position involves evaluating and optimizing molding equipment, molds, and supporting systems, while driving continuous improvement in molding processes. Job Highlights - Lead Process Technician
Shift: Full-Time -1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:00 AM -3:15 PM with some Mondays starting at 5:00 AM occasionally.
Location: Addison, IL
Department: Production - Injection Molding
Salary: $35.00 - $ 38.00/hr - Depending on experience
Preferred Qualifications: Molding Certification - Like Paulson, RJG, Etc
Some Travel Required: 1-2 times a year for 2-3 days travel required
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and maintain process sheets for all mold and machine combinations.
- Implement improvements to cycle times and product quality.
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key processes, including mold setups, color changes, startups, and shutdowns.
- Train and mentor team members, assessing the effectiveness of training programs.
- Use Continuous Improvement tools to enhance key processes such as color changes and mold setups.
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Department to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Set molds into presses using a lift truck and maintain molding-related equipment.
- Work with outside suppliers to explore new technologies for injection molding processes.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to monitor and address quality issues.
- Maintain production and inventory records using FIFO systems, ensuring consumables are stocked and managed efficiently.
- Adhere to all HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
