Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and skill set - Up to $36/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician for a direct hire position to join their growing team. This is a 2nd shift position, where you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for production and facility equipment. You will work closely with production teams to ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing production and building equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Assist in equipment setups, changeovers, and material/tooling changes, and, when needed, operate production equipment independently.
- Maintain organization of maintenance areas and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards.
- Handle emergency repairs of production machinery and supporting systems as required.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including the COO, regarding maintenance needs, repairs, and equipment issues.
- Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to assist in troubleshooting and reducing downtime.
- Perform general building maintenance, including furniture assembly, plumbing, lighting repair, and installations of data/power systems.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to schedule and track maintenance activities, work orders, and parts inventory.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory using CMMS.
- Operate a forklift as needed to assist with heavy lifting or maintenance tasks.
- Clean and maintain equipment, docks, HVAC systems, and other related machinery.
- Drive company vehicles for work-related tasks such as picking up parts and relocating items.
- Follow food safety and quality assurance standards at all times, escalating any issues or concerns to management.
- Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
