Job Description

A leading manufacturer of high-performance industrial rollers is seeking an Inbound Inspection Technician to join their growing team!

Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday: 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

The Inbound Inspection Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, measuring, and documenting incoming customer rollers and materials to ensure they are accurately processed for refurbishment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and document incoming customer rollers and materials.
  • Verify customer information, work orders, and shipment details for accuracy.
  • Inspect rollers for wear, damage, journal condition, and identifying features.
  • Measure roller length, diameter, journal dimensions, and other critical specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • Document inspection results to ensure rollers are rebuilt to the customer's original configuration.
  • Stage inspected rollers and route them to the appropriate production department.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and measurements throughout the refurbishment process.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Ability to accurately inspect, document, and process work orders.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for the entire shift.
  • Use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
