The Materials Cycle Counter conducts physical inventory counts, audits variances between system records and physical stock, and performs root-cause analysis on discrepancies. In this role, you will evaluate receiving, transaction, routing, and Bill of Materials (BOM) data to eliminate underlying errors while collaborating with Operations and Purchasing to maintain inventory accuracy and support smooth production flow. Regular operation of powered industrial equipment - specifically forklifts - is required, and candidates must have previous equipment experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Cycle Counting & Auditing: Perform daily physical inventory counts using RF smart scanners and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain optimal inventory accuracy.
Discrepancy Investigation: Research and resolve inventory variances stemming from receiving, Bill of Materials (BOM), routing, or picking errors, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Production Scheduling to maintain JD Edwards system integrity and support Kanban replenishment systems.
Material Handling: Safely operate powered industrial equipment, specifically Stand-Up Reach Forklifts, to move materials across the warehouse and plant floor.
Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to site safety protocols, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies.
Safety Adherence: Ability to safely navigate an active warehouse environment and wear required PPE.
