Are you a detail oriented and experienced Quality Inspector with experience inspecting, testing and collecting data on PCBs, PCBAs and metal and plastic components? Barton Professional Placement Group is recruiting for a qualified candidate to join the team of our client, a manufacturer and assembler of electronic and mechanical components located in Glendale Hts. IL. You will be responsible for providing skilled inspection of mechanical and electronic components by testing parts, reviewing test data and generating First Article Inspection Reports. This position requires the ability to perform visual inspection and use various measuring tools and devices to measure sizes, shapes, dimensions, electric current, etc., on incoming components and Final Inspection on completed pieces prior to release for shipment. `` You must be able to read prints, schematics and work instructions to be qualified for this job. You must also have previous experience operating required Inspection tools, instruments and equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules. `` You will take mechanical measurements of variable dimensions and apply knowledge of measurement tools and methods to determine the most accurate and efficient method to determine the parts meet quality requirements. Required `` Associates Degree or Two Year Technical Degree in a Technology Field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. `` Knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical measuring practices and principles. `` Experience with measurement equipment and techniques related to mechanical and electrical systems. Such as o CMM o Micrometers o Calipers o Multi-meters o Voltage and current meters o Digital cameras o Video recorders o Optical comparators Must possess demonstrated ability to use personal computer equipment and programs including; MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and able to learn to use company MRP system (Great Plains) to perform inquires and extract relevant data. Must possess excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to maintain a high level of detail and accuracy in all communications with customers, suppliers and other company associates. Full time position-Monday through Friday 7: 30 A.M. To 4 P.M. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Occasionally, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and lighter items frequently.
