Do you have Our client, a leader in the manufacturing of precision sheet metal and machined components and assemblies for Original Equipment Manufacturers and tier-one suppliers in the Aerospace and Medical industries, is seeking an energetic Production Planner to join our growing organization. The Production Planner is responsible for creating and executing a production schedule that meets the company`s goal of 100% on-time delivery. This position plans, schedules and releases all manufactured components needed for the manufacturing of critical aerospace and medical components in conjunction with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Customer Service and Logistics. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE `` Bachelor`s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or equivalent degree `` Minimum 5 Years of experience in managing production planning and master production scheduling within a low volume high mix operation. `` Experience with capacity planning, creating production schedules in an ERP system for a machining and fabrication environment (Aerospace environment preferred). MUST HAVE EPICOR experience! `` Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. `` Experience with creating and managing production schedules for increased efficiency. `` Energetic team player who with a ``Can Do`` attitude. `` Excellent written and verbal communication skills. `` Possess effective negotiation skills and interacts effectively with internal and external parties. `` Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP and Supply chain management systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES `` Maintain 100% on-time delivery to all customers `` Create, communicate and execute near term and forward-looking production plans (MPS) within the ERP system, based on inputs and priorities from Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process `` Maximize performance of planning system by updating and managing ERP parameters and processes on an ongoing basis to insure conformance to business needs `` Track production progress and coordinate issue resolution through effective communication and active participation in problem solving `` Recommend, implement, and manage WIP and FG Inventory targets to maximize customer service and throughput while minimizing costs. `` Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPI) that monitor production and delivery performance. These include, but are not limited to: o Weekly / Daily schedule compliance (OTD) o Pareto analysis of issues and opportunities o Shop floor productivity measures `` Participates in special projects as assigned or requested. `` Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met. `` Other responsibilities as required.
