Barton Professional Placement Group is recruiting for an excellent direct hire opportunity with a growing company that has recently expanded to a modern, up to date facility near I-88 and Farnsworth. This first shift opportunity will report to the Production Engineering Manager. A typical day will be spending the majority of the day working on the production floor, interacting, and communicating on a regular basis with machine operators who know the ins and outs of the machinery they operate every day. The qualified candidate should have a solid understanding of the difference between High Voltage, Low Voltage and Control Electrical. The main Electrical skills used will be for Controls troubleshooting. Experience with PLCs would be nice, but not required. They should have a basic understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance and be able to use a variety of hand tools. Experience with plastic injection molding machinery would be a plus, but is not required. Must have skills with MSWord, Outlook and Excel. Candidate can expect a hands-on evaluation of their MS Excel skills at the interview. Should have some of their own hand tools and can expect to spend the first 60 days learning how to operate every piece of machinery in the plant to gain knowledge of how machinery should run. Company provides excellent experience for growth and has potential to lead to a Production Engineering position. Experience with using a milling machine and the ability to fabricate parts and weld would be a huge plus. Please note--strong emphasis on troubleshooting and repairing electrical Controls.
