Barton Professional Placement Group is recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector for our client, a Pinball Manufacturing Company located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Responsible for a variety of inspection tasks to verify compliance with company and customer requirements, including incoming and in-process inspections of parts, sub-assemblies and finished products. The candidate must have experience and knowledge of visual inspection techniques, manual measuring equipment, and electrical testing equipment; such as calipers, micrometers, and electrical multi-meters. Must have a detail oriented attitude and be capable of writing detailed records of inspection processes. Must have a working knowledge of ISO 9001, and be willing and able to learn company and customer specific policies, procedures and work instructions. Responsible for inspecting all incoming, products, parts, components and all associated documents and records. Ensures and verifies that incoming material meets all required specifications. Responsible for inspecting all outgoing games, products, parts, components and determining if they pass final inspection and are ready to ship. Responsible for correctly and completely recording all required data onto inspection documents and records. Responsible for correctly and completely entering all required data into Epicor, the business ERP system. Responsible for examining all associated documents and records for completeness and accuracy. Ensures and verifies that for all outgoing shipments; model, serial, part, purchase order numbers and ship quantity match the traveler. Ensures and verifies that for all outgoing shipments all prior / in-process quality inspections, have been performed and passed. Performs the daily function of the QA Inspector function. Able to lift 50lbs, as needed, without assistance, must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The inspector is expected to spend most of their time on the shop floor. Follows the Policies and Procedures listed in the Quality Management System manual that impact production and quality, data entry and safety. Monitors work performed by other employees to ensure work instructions are followed. Monitors equipment calibration status and reports any malfunctioning or out of calibration equipment.
